IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE EPIC

Dear friends,

Have you ever found yourself trying to be brilliant, so much so, that you get completely paralized and unable to do the thing you are trying to do?

Both the creative and destructive aspects of life are steps in a process, part of a continuous cycle. And so sometimes to create something, you have to let go of something. Perhaps a belief system, something that is holding you back or putting you in this fearful freeze.

Sometimes in my infinite wisdom, I convince myself that what I am creating needs to be awesome. It has to be “EPIC” . Know what I mean? It’s enough to send me over the edge, put me in a straight jacket or, give me the feeling I’m like an astronaut, floating in space in my suit, unable to move. Paralytic.

I try to remind myself that I could just create something for my friends and family. Or for my colleagues. I could just write about what I do, or what I’m thinking. And maybe that's enough. Maybe that's all it needs to be.
