UNSHAKABLE WHOLENESS
You are not a self- improvement project.
We track our sleep scores, count every gram of protein, and go forest bathing with earbuds in and a podcast playing. We are operating under the assumption that we need fixing.
Beneath all of this measuring, the body is fluent in a language older than data. It speaks memory, story, culture, longing, relationship, and consciousness. Before you try the next biohack, let me introduce you to something intimate, intelligent and alive:
Body Literacy.
The art of listening to the intelligence already moving through you.
I study the relationship between body, behaviour, story, and consciousness - and explore the invisible structures shaping how we live, choose, relate, and evolve.
Keynotes for leaders, founders,
and gatherings that matter.
SPEAKING
Tailored to your audience — from the boardroom to the United Nations. Each anchored in story, science, and the body.
Keynote
The Alchemy of Joy
Twenty-five centuries of contemplative practice, sitting now beside polyvagal theory and neuroplasticity. Both are pointing at the same door— the body keeps a more accurate ledger than memory does. We start by learning to read it.
Leading from the Body
Nervous-system literacy for leaders. Why your team's behaviour is downstream of your physiology, and what to do about it.
Immersion
The Body as a Navigation System
A framework drawn from twenty years at the intersection of somatic practice, neuroscience, and contemplative traditions — for the people whose lives have outgrown their old maps.

THE BOOK
For those who are tuned to a sound the world
has forgotten how to hear.
The body is a persistent orator. It responds to sound, sensation, memory, and the subtle ache of not fully belonging. Beneath posture, symptoms, recurring struggles, and the quiet pull of vocation lies an imprint. A chorus of signals awaiting translation.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
‘Gillian makes it safe enough that the body reveals, on its own. I've done a lot of work in my life. Nothing has shifted me like this. It was magic.’
ANJA H. · Managing Director

‘The day we spent together was incredibly inspiring. Your positive attitude and enthusiasm are truly motivating, and it was a great pleasure to work with you.’
MARCUS F · Financial Advisor
______
‘There are moments in life when you meet a person who makes something in you vibrate. That's what happened to me with Gillian. I appreciate her essence, her thoughts, her humour, her lightness and how she invites people to share in her wisdom and knowledge about the interconnectedness of spiritual, mental and physical health.’
CONNIE T · Architect
______
I had the pleasure of attending Gillian’s talk The Pursuit of Happiness – and How to Close the Gap at the Gross Global Happiness Summit, hosted by the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Gillian is a radiant speaker who walks the talk. With her unique perspective on embodied wisdom, she inspires audiences with deep insights, humour, and a powerful reconnection to the body. A true eye-opener - highly recommended!”

FAQs
-
Body Literacy is the art of understanding the conversation between your body, your behaviour, your story, and the life you are actually living.
It begins with the recognition that the body is more than physical structure. It carries memory, adaptation, instinct, stress, longing, resilience, and intelligence. When we learn to listen, the body becomes less of a problem to solve and more of a living map for how we move through the world
-
No. This work is not psychotherapy and does not replace medical or mental-health care.
It is an educational and experiential approach to understanding the body as a source of insight. We explore patterns, sensations, habits, stories, and choices in a grounded, reflective way. Many people find it complements therapy, coaching, bodywork, or spiritual practice beautifully.
-
Yoga is part of my background, but this work is wider than yoga.
Body Literacy draws from movement, somatic awareness, ancient wisdom traditions, nervous-system understanding, symbolic anatomy, storytelling, and lived experience. Sometimes we move. Sometimes we reflect. Sometimes we read the patterns that have been quietly shaping a life.
-
This work is for people who sense that there is more going on beneath the surface of their lives.
You may be in transition. You may feel successful but strangely disconnected. You may be tired of self-improvement language. You may be curious about why your body keeps sending signals your mind cannot quite explain.
It is especially for people who want to live with more awareness, coherence, meaning, and inhabitation.
-
Much of modern wellness focuses on improvement, optimisation, and tracking.
Body Literacy begins somewhere else.
It asks: what is your body already telling you? What patterns are organising your choices? What stories are being carried through posture, breath, nervous system, habit, and relationship?
The aim is not to become a better version of yourself. The aim is to understand the extraordinary complexity of who you already are.
-
The Radiānce map is my body-based framework inspired by the ancient Lo Shu magic square and my long engagement with Katonah Yoga®. It explores nine regions of the body as symbolic chambers of human experience: grounding, vision, dialogue, intention, heart, adventure, trust, cultivation, and higher wisdom.
In the book, the map becomes a way of reading the body as both landscape and language.
-
Ideally, you leave with a different relationship to yourself.
More language for what you feel.
More trust in what your body knows.
More clarity around the patterns shaping your choices.
More permission to stop treating yourself like a project. And hopefully, a felt sense that your life is speaking through more than thought alone.
